For each visitor to the www.CFANY.org site, our web server automatically recognizes only the consumer’s domain name, but not the email address.
We collect the domain name and email address of visitors to our webpage, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user-specific information on what pages consumers access or visit; information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations; and name and address, telephone number, fax number, payment information (e.g., billing address).
CFANY does not store certain personally identifiable information, such as credit card numbers. CFANY does not collect Social Security numbers.
The information we collect is used to:
Improve the content of our webpage,
Notify consumers about updates to our Web site
Contact consumers for marketing purposes
When legally required to do so, disclose information at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation
Verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our website and applicable laws or to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our website
Upon request we provide site visitors with access to unique identifier information (e.g., customer number or password) that we maintain about them, transaction information (e.g., dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases) that we maintain about them, and contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number) that we maintain about them.
If you supply us with your email address, telephone number or postal address you may receive periodic communications from us with information related to your account, new products and services or upcoming events.
CFANY does not sell its membership mailing list to third parties. CFANY may send conference attendees a single marketing email on behalf of a sponsoring company.
CFANY does not partner with nor have special relationships with any ad server companies.
From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our website to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check our website periodically.
Members and registered CFANY website users who have a profile with CFANY may update their profiles or opt-out of any of these preferences online. To do so go to www.CFANY.org and click on the “My Account” link located in the upper right-hand corner of the CFANY website. You may also change your preferences by emailing us at the above address, writing to us at the above address, calling us at the above number or editing it online here.
Please be advised that opting out of all CFANY emails can cause problems if you are a member; the majority of member communications, such as dues renewal notices, are sent via email.
Anyone who has registered for a CFANY event, whether online or via mail/fax, has a username and password. If you have lost your username or password, they can be reset by clicking the “forgot your password?” link on the log-in page. If you use the eFinancialCareers job board as a job seeker, your username and password are transmitted securely to the company that maintains that area of our site. If you use eFinancialCareers as an employer, you will need to set up a separate account via eFinancialCareers, stored on a separate database maintained by the company that maintains that area of our site.
The Gallery lead form (the “Lead Form”) enables Company to collect information from end users who are visiting Company’s Gallery site(s). The information from end users (the “Data”) will be collected via an online form that is created by Company using Gallery. By publishing a Lead Form, Company agrees to the terms described in this document. These terms are in addition to, and form a part of, Company’s agreement with Brightcove regarding Company’s use of the Brightcove Service.
Data Collected by Lead Forms: We will not be sharing any of our users data with anyone else. The data will be kept in house to better tailor content to our users needs.
- Data. Brightcove will collect Data only as directed by Company and will store the Data in accordance with these terms. All Data will be encrypted by Brightcove during both transmission and storage. Brightcove will use the Data only for the purposes of making it available to Company and for no other reason. Brightcove will have no independent rights in or to the Data and the Data shall be owned solely by Company. Brightcove will delete all Data following the termination or expiration of Company’s Gallery Order and at any other time during the Term upon Company’s request. As between Company and Brightcove, with respect to the Data, Brightcove and Company agree that Company is the “data controller” and Brightcove is the “data processor.”
- Handling End User Data Requests. If Company receives a request from an end user to access, correct and/or delete the end user’s Data, Company agrees that it will promptly forward such request onto Brightcove customer support. Brightcove will respond expeditiously to any such request. Brightcove shall have no responsibility for Company’s failure to forward to Brightcove an end user’s request to access, correct and/or delete an end user’s Data.
